Afternoon DeLight

What is it about the late afternoon light in the fall? It seems to be even better than any other time of year. Quite magical, glowing, soft, warm, sensual-all rolled up in one! Well, it does captivate me each afternoon during that fleeting magical moment before the sun starts to dip down over the horizon-letting you know that you better look quickly before it's gone and dark settles in.

Join us as a group of us (yes-there are many of us!) from around the world post our shadow shots over at Shadow Shot Sunday 2. Entertain your muse and be amused by stopping by to see what others have posted!

I was going to link my poem (below) to a prompt about roses, but never did. Your beautiful rose reminded me that there are all sorts of roses:

Some call him the Rose of Sharon,
The one who died on the cross;
Others despise and mock him,
To them it is no great loss
To turn from the Christ who suffered
And bore all their sin and shame—
Still a sweet fragrance lingers,
This rose by another name.
